WATER FILTRATION EXPERIMENT

Ingredients :

Dye , water , oil , large bottle , cotton balls , sand , gravel and styrofoam .

Equipment :

Scissors and measuring cup .

Steps :

Step 1 . Cut your 2 liter bottle in half and then place the top half of your bottle into the bottom half .

Step 2 :Place 10-12 cotton balls into the top half of your bottle (make them compacted )

Step 3 :  Place your sand on top of your cotton balls and fill the bottle about ⅓.       

Step 4 : place your gravel in the top half of your bottle filling the last ⅓.

Step 5 : Pour dye and oil into some water to make your polluted water .

Hypothesis :

I think that the polluted water will take multiple times to filter the water propoly

Results :

The water was partly filtered. The cotton filtered the oil. The dye went faint .

EOTC WEEK

BONK! I fell directly on my butt.

On a cold crisp day the senior school travelled to Snowplanet in Silverdale by bus for EOTC, once we were ready, we all started strolling into the bus.

Without hesitation, my mind imploded.  The interior was extraordinary the design was really good.  Meanwhile we had to go and get dressed, we had to put on a pair of snow boots and a snowboard.  Minutes later we were all ready.

Once the doors opened into the snow a nice cold breeze flew right at my face, that was the moment I realized snowplanet was higher than it looked.  Several minutes later we finished the practice, finally that was done, my confidence boosted, I couldn't wait to go snowboarding. Eventually , we got to snowboard freely, I fell over a little of times but I never gave up, Is saw lots of pros going down the top of the mountain, also Mr Hopsinkson went from the top, he was going extremely fast.

It was a blast, I didn't want to leave, it was a great challenge.
